Next, tap on 'Playback' followed by 'Equaliser.' You'll see the built-in Spotify equalizer popup. Then tap on the 'Settings' gear in the top-right corner of the screen. My favorite is a “Rock” type preset where the bass and treble are both boosted up, and the mid-range is “scooped” down in the middle (somewhat similar to the image shown).
